Recount of Mystery

Lois McArthur has a best friend named, Maria R Ang. She knows Maria’s brother, Luise R Ang too. Ted P Tan is Lois’ boyfriend. Before the night she was killed, she had a schedule of flying to California. Maria had promised her to send her there.

At 10 am the next day after she was killed, she was found, dead. Lois was shot as a single bullet was found from her skull and a 22-caliber colt revolver was found in her left-hand.
She is believed to have been killed for the case of jealousy, for she had been accepted in an audition for certain competition. Unfortunately, Maria had failed to perform well. She had not made it to the next round.

Therefore, to satisfy her fury towards Lois, she had killed her own best friend.

Nabilah – Investigator
Addly – Suspect
Farlina – Victim
Glenn – Suspect
Amalina – Suspect


Nabilah – It seems that the murder is occurred 6hours before 10am . Where were you that night?
Addly – I was at home sleeping.
Nabilah – If you were sleeping at home, why were there letters found in her room from you to the victim ?
Addly – I didn’t send her any letters, I seriously didn’t.
Nabilah – I’m going to ask you again. Did you send the letters to the victim or not?
Addly – No.

Next, the investigator interviewed the second suspect.

Nabilah – Where were you at exactly 0400hrs?
Glenn – I was outside.
Nabilah – Outside where? Were you around Folsom Street that night?
Glenn – I’m afraid I don’t remember.
Nabilah- Are you sure you don’t remember or you don’t want to tell me?
Glenn – I’m pretty sure that I don’t remember anything. I was out with someone.
Nabilah – Who is that someone? You see, a woman was killed in her room at 0400hrs and was found by her friend 10am in the morning. So if you don’t confess now, my job is going to get complicated, and so will yours too.
Glenn – I don’t remember.
Nabilah – You were holding a Swiss army knife, so are you sure that the red substance is a soldering flux? I’m afraid I’ll need to test it to prove it.
Glenn – Fine, do what you got to do.
The investigator moved on and interviewed the last suspect.

Nabilah – So you found her in the room at 1000hrs, correct?
Amalina- Yes, I did. You seriously think I’ll kill my own best girlfriend?
Nabilah – I don’t know, maybe you did.
Amalina- No, I didn’t. I wont kill my own best girlfriend even though she got a certificate from an arts academy and my brother didn’t.
Nabilah – So you know. You were the one that killed her huh?
Amalina – No I didn’t.
Nabilah- then what was the light in your handbag for?
Amalina – The light was for some personal reason. I don’t think you have to know anyway.
Nabilah – I’m afraid I need to know. That is why I’m here right now asking you a lot of questions.
Amalina – My brother was working hard to get a certificate from the academy, and he worked so hard that I see him sad when he didn’t get it. And Farlina got it! I had to do something!
Nabilah- you’ve done an offence, and for that, you’ll be awarded.
Amalina-Awarded what? For honesty?
Nabilah – No, get punishment.
